Russian TOZ122
« on: May 25, 2010, 06:24:28 AM »
Has any one experiance with the Russian TOZ 122 in 308W ? I have only seen pictures . The mount looks like a side mount and the bolt somewhat like a bent down spoon .The stock appears to be a nice walnut .

I would be intersted in how well they shoot and how bad the trigger is on these . The price compares to the stevens here in Central Ontario Canada .
Any experiance ?

Don't

I had one briefly and I'll try to list all its issues

Only one magazine of the two would latch

very crude machining; compared to a wartime mosin this thing looks like Kathy Bates standing next to Ashley Judd  :o

action was VERY stiff, really requiring you to get rough when ejecting and extracting

the scope rings are very crudely machined and wouldn't hold onto a 1" scope or the mounting rail.

The trigger is horrible, somewhat akin to a caulking gun
