thanks cat...........was the angle of the tripod mortar pic.........so close to detail I'm looking for on the wheel behind it...........accumulating the older stuff is a pain in the ass.........little bit here........little bit there.............CW stuff much easier........drawings........info..........and usually ready made drawings.....all over the place.........too much of the old European info based on paintings.......incorrect drawings.........idiots making all kind of claims about period......materials...........and the worst of all....... ####### English holding our heritage to ransom by charging a fortune for copies of...Our.......that's Joe Public........Historical documents. I'm gonna nail that wheel detail......not literally.....well maybe ...don't think pz2 would look so good..........that's a screw.....for you machine types who forget what hand tools look like.........not naming names of course

That 44 bbl one would be  a FUN gun in fire-cracker caliber!   ;D

Timing might be a 'fun' issue as well.   :P

Tim,
As the years increase some human attributes show a tendency to decrease, so don't be alarmed. ;) If I jog your memory I'm sure you'll quickly recall that there was a 'multi-barrel firecracker cannon contest' held here in the not too distant past, and that Cannonmn constructed a rotating wheel contraption that was definitely inspired by the Russian poly-coehorn wheel of doom. Talking about faulty memories, for the life of me I cannot recall a lot of the details of his model, but I do remember that as the wheel rotated the fuses in the passing barrels (can't recall what he used for barrels) were lit by a propane torch that was set on the ground. I think the wheel he used was one of those all iron/steel carriage wheels, and the power source was provided by Ed turning some kind of belt and pulley affair.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.
