I bought my SP2340 when they first came out

and my second magazine that Sig Sauer provided when I bought my weapon fell apart.  The Finger stop on the bottom of my Mag fell off at the indoor Range where I bought that weapon at, and it was "hot-glued" to the aluminum part of the Mag.  I showed it to a salesman and he ended up sending it back to Sig and getting a new one.  I thought this might be of interest to all of you Sig Pro owners.

My magazines were fine, my slide would get stuck when putting another round into battery. are the 2340 and 229 mags the same? I think the pistol could have used some more R&D.

I don't think they are the same, the Sig Pro's have a plastic finger stop on the bottom of their mags.

ON the SigPro 2340 magazines...

I don't know when your magazines were made, but for my SigPro the plastic composit finger stop slides off the magazine for cleaning by depressing a pin... then everything dissasembles.  Very solid design.

I've shot over a 1000 rounds through mine with not one malfunction of factory ammo, or my own ww cast bullet reloads.

It eats them up, and never, never has jammmed.

This is one of the finest Sigs ever made period, and needs know refinement.  But, as with any make of firearm, there will be some that have problems.

Bought mine when it first came out as well...and the first time to the range, snap...finger grip on the floor, superglue and it is fine...in a couple thousand rounds no problems since...the trigger has smoothed out alot...
I bought another mag for it so I would have three, and the new ones are alot different...the baseplate is recessed an inch into the mag...works just as well...
man I love that gun, and I don't tend to like auto's so much...but I like my Sigpro

got mine 3 weeks ago, just messing around with ammo right now. The PMC the range sells is actually not half bad, but for the same price, I got 100 rounds of Winchester at where? Walmart. All have been 165 grain FMJ thus far.

Ive got a box of federal and another of Remington UMC arriving tomorrow. As of right now, it shoots it all very good.

Heres some pics I took, labeled appropriately. 2nd pic is what I shot yesterday with the Winchester ammo at 15 yards. Ive got 200 rounds fired thru her, shes already starting to feel smoother. I strip her down after every session and clean her real good.
