Uberti toggle link M73's in 44 Mag.
« on: March 06, 2010, 07:21:03 AM »
Did y'all see where Uberti announced the introduction of a 73 carbine in that caliber?   :o

Great!  I'd love to have one!   8)  Hi-ebber, and day always be a hi-ebber, like Bill (Gray Beard) pointed out to me when I was first getting the hots for old lever guns, the weak (as compare to a M92) toggle link is not made for Mag pressures!

Does anyone know what Uberti did to make these things safe for a steady diet of 44 Mags?   ???

I think that is a very, very bad idea on Uberti's part. Even the 357 mag one doesn't last long if fed real magnum ammo.

Unless it's not a real '73 clone I jist plain don't see a way it could be safe.
