there was no mark from the tail though and if you look closely at the right side of the track, you can see a 5th finger it doesnt indent a lot though.

Looks more like a mink track--behind a rat track.
Rats and mink don't have fingers(everything is toes)coon do not have hands(everything is feet). Being picky here, lol. Just trying to do away with --the humanizing of animals(the -Disney Dilema).--we are all guilty of this.

I meant for trapping mink sorry should have been more pacific lol. How do I use a colony trap? I found an old one in an abandoned house and I'd like to put it to good use. I was going to put anchovies in the center  and place it along a narrow channel. How long does it take for them to drown in one of these? I read a story from buckshot(famous trapper) and he had gotten attacked by a rat he thought was dead. Needless to say I don't want that happenin to me

Sorry fish, I have to correct myself. Putting a 110 on the den is illegal. I emailed the warden he just got back to me. This doesn't apply to me though as I have no idea where the den is anyway. But it's got me wondering, why can you drown an animal but not kill it instantly? Doesn't make much sense to me but I geuss the protesters don't like the idea of "snapping" a mink in a trap. They'd rather the animal drown. I don't know what the worlds comin to

Where do you live??? Also a colony trap should be totally submerged--no bait--also unless the doors are strengthened--a good sized mink will blow the doors right out.

I don't really like to say where I live. I know there's probobly nothing wrong with it but I do some crazy other things which I won't divulge either. I'm probobly just paranoid but better safe than sorry. Also what do you mean by blow the doors? Like rip them off? How could I reinforce the doors?

I try to help those that come on here--but to tell me to figure it out--ain't the way to cultivate more additional help from me--what would you think if I told you to--figure it out, when you ask a question?

I'll most likely do that once I have some money. I just bought a new rifle (savage 10fp 308 cal) so I'm strapped for cash once I get my allowance I'll get some . You have a website?
