In a recent thread the question was asked; "Does Obama and his "progressives" hate America ? It was pointed out by several that the progressives seem to be doing things with the intention of hurting America. Among the moves they made was the intention to prevent the U.S. from being energy in dependent enough to avoid becoming those who bow to the Arabs...oops! sorry, ..that's already been done.
Anyway, it has dawned upon the progressive messiah that offshore drilling is not a bad idea.

If offshore drilling is to be done, congress must pass the "cap & trade" bill...which will of course, cripple U.S. industry and commerce. What at first seems like a bulb lighting up in a dull head, turns out to be another hurt America scheme.
They could eventually use Cap & trade powers to shut down offshore drilling... Presumably, the old saying "beware of Greeks bearing gifts" should now include Kenyans.
