Turkey time

Took this picture off my back porch this morning.I have a small flock that comes around about every other day to eat the corn and bird seed we put out.I've watch these guys grow all winter.There's four jakes and nine hens.Their beards are only about 1 1/2" long,but they think they're ready to rumble.They've been gobbling for about a week now.First time I've seen the strutting.Slow

Hey BN.I live just south of Haysville in the county.I'm sure the wife would field dress me if i shot one of"her"turkeys.LOL.I'm hoping these guys will talk a big gobbler in.Lond time till April though.Slow

I'm telling ya, it seems like April is never going to get here. As for the wife, she might field dress you but what about me LOL...

I just got back in town (Hiawatha) after 3mos.  It has been cold and rainy, I wonder if they are starting to strut around here yet.
I start going out around this time of year and call them in and photograph them.
