Eye Relief Distance for Burris 1.5x4 scope on Marlin Guide Gun

I have a Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70 which I'm planning to mount a Burris 1.5x4 pistol scope in a scout setup using an XS rail and Warne QD rings.  Does anyone have a similar setup?  Does anyone have the eye relief distance recommendations for such a setup?  Thanks for any help.

My GG has a Leupold scout scope on it which is like a pistol scope. The eye relief on a pistol scope may not be long enough on your GG. This thing is a trial and error kinda thing.

I don't have a guide gun, but I do have a Ruger #1 in 45/70.  I use a Leupi 2.5x scout scope.  It requires 9-13" of eye relief and points like a shotgun.  Justa suggestion.

Hey blackhawkencore, look at the picture in my avatar. The rifle is an H&R Handi-Rifle that I drilled and tapped the barrel on and installed a scout style scope base. It wears a Burris 1.5-4 Handgun scope and works great. The Handi is chambered for the 500 S&W, so I did this to have no worries about scope eye!
The buck in my avatar was taken at about 125 yards and it sure was nice to be able to turn up the power of the scope to make the shot.
