Breech Plug?
« on: March 02, 2010, 12:40:09 AM »
Whay did that post get locked? That is pretty weak lads.  Someone needs to excersise some self control, and not  lock stuff down, because it made them mad.

In regards to that person being the second person banned............. That is not true. I know of a number of people who got the boot. I know I am new here, but holy moly lighten up.

To close this forum only shows I am right and maybe the other guy was right too. This forum should not close because two people did not see eye to eye.  Just because you are the boss on here, doesn't mean you have to be a tough guy all the time.

If you say he cused, did you talk to him on the phone or something? I find it really hard to believe that someone would openly post bad words.

If you had your own site I'm sure you would run it as you see fit, as would I. I would absolutely agree with a ban of someone who conducted themselves as they did, but it's unfortunate that one person, who isn't even allowed on the site anymore, has the ability to close a forum down by proxy.  There was/is a lot of good info on here, on far more subjects than just one item, as with every other forum on this site. It would be a loss of a great resource, for new and experienced Sidekick/Huntsman owners alike, to close this forum.

I'm not going to beg to keep this forum open however I would hate to see it close. I have several H&R sb1 & sb2 but just recently purchased a huntsman. This forum was instrumental in the purchase of that muzzle loader even the info on the Metrics Unlimited plug, hubbard ram rod and much much more info that is listed in this forum.

I find it a bit immature, to close this forum down because of one guy not even allowed on it anymore. Trust me no one has more pride and even arrogance than me sometimes, however even I know when to say enough is enough and not screw over other people because of a disagreement and a little hurt pride.

But what do I know I guess its just my 2cents, do as you please.

Darn it, I just bought a Huntsman Barrel. Not even in my hands yet. I guess I've got a lot of reading to do before the end of the week. :-[

If I close the forum (which still isn't a given YET) the posts will be moved to the Modern Inline Forum which is likely where they belong. The guns are long out of production I'm told and this forum has never generated much traffic and lately most of what it does generate seems to be more of a headache than it's worth.

The info won't be lost just moved if I close it.

I cruise this site every week. I just dont post all the time because I can usually find what I am looking for without bothering anybody. This is the BEST huntsman/sidekick site on the net, and we all know this because those of us with these marvels of blackpowder know there just arent many sites for these little pieces of American Craftsmanship. We huntsman/sidekick owners are of a different breed......like grouse hunters and musky fisherman. I wouldnt trade my huntsman or the advice I got out of this forum for a dumptruck full of cash. So just in case.........thanks for all the tips and help I got on here and I wish everybody the best of luck in future with memorable days afield with your trusty sidekick/huntsman.

The last thing I want to see is this forum closed down.  I have gotten a wealth of info in here on a fine weapons system and as well as other places in Graybeard Outdoors.

I have to side with Graybeard on this one.  The owner of that company has got issues in how to talk to people.  I had a problem with his product and he pretty much gutted me on this forum.  He said I got nasty with him which I didn't.  I was just an upset/disatisfied customer that didn't like his attitude of who cares and told him so on the phone.  Guys like this don't stay in business for long or don't do very well!  It bothers me becasue this plug was a great item for NEF ML owners to upgrade their guns.

I do have to say I am pleased with the performance of the breech plug.  It just looked like hell when it came in and I had to dress it up to finish the job his company should have done!
Just another voice in the crowd!!!

In my Sidekick that plug froze up quicker with T7 than the original plug.
RIP Mike. Died on July 14th, around 2am, with his family at his side, he went peacefully to be with god.

For now arrangements have been made to keep the forum open. I have appointed a new Moderator here since the one we had asked to be removed from the position.

If you guys wish to keep this forum open then let's end the discussion of this person I find rather distasteful and his merchandise and get back to talking about the guns.

If you can do that and Kurt can keep this civil here then I will leave it for you. But understand clearly that fellow and his products are personna nongrata here and we are NOT gonna talk about them further.
