This has been an interesting forum, great stories on the recoil of this massive gun.  My question is...how is the flame cutting affect on the top strap of these?  I read somewhere that the early ones had a bad problem with that.  One of the members of my gun club owns one and says there is no problem.

No sign of it yet Chris but, I'll let you know if any developes. I've heard the .460s have a problem with this? Thinking about loading some up with Titegroup and see if recoil is milder? Doubt I'd need 1500fps and up for Illinois whitetails? Like to end up at around 1000-1100 fps with my 500 grain bullets for hunting.
