HELP! "Hard" closing and opening of Contender que

I found a deal on a stainless frame with two barrels and Leupold scopes that I brought home today.  The barrel that was mounted was a 44 mag, it seemed to open and close a little hard when I was looking at it but not enough to cause too much concern.  When I got it home I put on the hornet barrel and it was much more noticable.  When opening the action it opens about 20% of the way and then seems to "catch" on something down in the frame.  If you force it hard, it will open.  Same thing with closing it.  I put the 44 barrel back on and it did the same thing again, opening and closing hard.  
I then tried each of these barrels on another frame I had.  No problems, nice and smooth opening and closing, locked up tight as can be.  I then tried another barrel that I had on the "new" frame, again no problem.  Why would these two barrels not work well with the frame?  Is there a fix for this?
I know I could just switch frames but these kind of things just bother me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The locking lugs on the barrels don't match the frame.  ship it to TC and they will match them perfectly for free.  Send it to Jim Henry in CA and for about $20 per barrel, he will perfectly match the barrel to the frame and clean, lube, etc the frame.

Sounds like the barrel is rubbing on something or the extractor is catching. Take off the barrel and look at the front of the frame where the forward end of the extractor arm rubs. See if you have any nicks or abnormal wear, you can usually clean that up if it's not too bad. If it's excessive, ship it to T/C for repair/replacement. If that's okay, try taking the extractor off of the barrel (just a drift pin keeps it in) and see if it still hangs up on something. If that's not it, try taking off the grip and forarm and try locking up the barrels. I had an aftermarket barrel that with a wood forend would hang up during closing, but with a pachmyer forarm it worked fine.
