20 ga rifled barrel - buckhammers
« on: April 28, 2010, 06:27:40 AM »
Hi All,

I have an unfired 20 ga Tracker II rifled slug barrel headed my way.  I use buckhammers in my 12 ga. slug gun and am very happy with both accuracy and the mess they make out of the innards of a whitetail.  I think they make buckhammers in 20 ga, anybody test them on bambi?

thanks

BB

I have read good things about them out of rifled Handis but have never found them on sale to try....<><....:)

 Tom,
Glad to hear you bought that barrel from Dino. Hes a great guy to deal with and you'll always get good service & quality stuff.
Anyhow what you wanted to hear is about buckhammers, I have used them in my 20 USH and also in my 20 mossy pump also
rifled. They perform as well in a 20 as they do in a 12, in fact I prefer a 20 to a 12. Had good accuracy, a few bang flops, never
lost one. My USH has a slight preference for Hornady SST's though.

I got some from Natchez a few weeks back.  $6.05/box if you get 10 or more.  I split them with a friend.
