new rimington bbl's

was wondering when rimington would start making there own barrels and how to tell them from the old makers ???

H&R will be making their own barrels sometime later this year, probably not much different than what Marlin has been making, both are button rifled, so I doubt you'll be able to tell. Remington will be making hammer forged barrels, but not for H&Rs.

I am kind of thinking it will be sort of a trickel down kind of thing.  The best barrels will go to the high end guns, the custom shop etc, then on down until they get to the H&R's.  After that they will sell them by the dozen for Grape Stakes.  Larry
