I have the Beeman P-1 pistol in .177, owned it for around 7 years, rock solid and accurate pellet gun.  You will have fun with yours.

Sounds like your family really understands you!  Congrats on a great air gun, should provide years of shooting enjoyment.

Thank You very much for the replies! I appreciate that! Here is another photo after I mounted the scope. I did want to shoot, but it rained for awhile an was getting a little late. I think I got a decent outside photo,...anyway, here it is with the scope. Thanks again for your replies! scout4<><

Hey All! I took a little time yesterday early evening to do some shooting with the Beeman Bearclaw and I tell ya I'm impressed! This rifle has about the same heft and feel as my H&R 20 gauge USH so it will be very good practice for that. After getting the scope zero'd in I started getting good accuracy that for a non broken in spring piston gun I thought was actually very good! Was shooting Crosman hp pellets, which I like! but these are not "the" pellet for this gun, I think it needs something a little heavier, maybe a pellet like the beeman kodiak that is a little over 10gr. Anyway, I'll get you a better report at sometime here. Have a good day! Thanks! scout4<><

Thank You! to any that have replied, I really appreciate that!  Today, actually later this afternoon when I got some needed chores done, I took some time an did a little more experimental shooting with the Beeman bearclaw. I did change the scope, took off the centerpoint and set on the original beeman 3-9x32 that came with it. I'm glad I did! Cause this scope is really a decent airrifle scope! I tell ya, I'm really impressed with this gun! I know that the crosman hollow point pellet is not the best one for this airrifle, but it still shoots with some pretty good accuracy. I am goin to purchase some heavier pellets as dwalk has suggested, just haven't gotten to it yet. Anyway, I'll get some pics for you all and let you all know of my progress. Thanks again! scout4<><

Scout4...

Figuring out what they like is 1/2 the fun.  Once you get that sorted out and know where it is hitting will be time to do some "field roving" and pick off some starlings, rats, grass hoppers or any other pests in your area.  Just realize that at some point you will need to post some pic's of your groups from the range.
