Russian M44....
The gunstore where I got my 91/30 had a beautiful M44 there also, but the bolt serial was electro penciled. Are they all like that, or will I be able to find one with the correct stamped serial number on the bolt? (Or are the serial numbers rolled on the bolt?)

The only time I have ever seen electro penciled numbers is on a refurbished  Russian SVT-40 Tokarev which is normal.  I'm not sure but maybe the M44 was a refurb??  All my Mosins have stamped bolt numbers.  As long as the headspace is ok the gun is good for a shooter.    BigBill
