I got a .45 Patriot at a gun show last fall and really enjoy shooting it. But- the darn thing has an intermittant problem of not dropping the hammer at pulling the trigger :? I live in SE Michigan near Flint .The only BP gunsmith shop I ever knew about closed . Who knows where I can send the pistol for a trigger job and/or new parts or replacement manufatured parts? I've tried  to contact one in Muzzleblast mag ad but I got no return fax. :cry: I know ther is a lot of knowledge out there, so please, I need the helping hand. Thanks

Dan, I did as you suggested and E-mailed T/C ref my pistol. They were very prompt in replying, but as I am not the original owner the implication is there will be a charge for the service. I'd just as soon pay a good shop gunsmith as a large factory,unless it is absolutly necessary. So I'm still asking if there is someone I can turn to for help?  Thanks in advance :(

log eye in the long run it will probably be quicker and cheeper to send it to the tc repair shop factory work isnt much more and quite often less than some gunshops, they do them everyday and always have the parts on hand which may delay it at a gunshop as he may have to wait for the part and of course you will be paying for the shipping on the new parts if needed.  Hope I didnt confuse you anymore on it but thats what I would do. :D   JIM

Good Luck Log Eye.  I have TWO patriot pistols and my father owns one and between us we have broken FOUR stocks.  My father sent his back in a few years ago and they fitted his pistol up with a new stock....good news for him but when I asked TC to fix mine, I found out that ALL of the  Patriot tooling and/or parts were lost in a fire a couple of years ago!

The stocks are very thin behind the lock...my gut tells me they will all bust out in time.  I only loaded 15G FFFG in mine.  Anyway, all TC could offer me was a credit towards a new rifle/shotgun.  Got two or three of those already!

Sooo, I opted to have my father (a retired Army officer and cabinet maker) put the stocks back together with steel dowels and glue.  He did a great job...but it's hard to get over the fact that I didn't get the Lifetime Guarentee.  Guess I still haven't gotten over it... :?  I have more fun shooting this pistol more than anything else I own.

Anyway, I think the guy to talk to at TC is Tim Pancurak.  Who knows...maybe they can fix you up.  It's certainly worth a try.  They seem to be good people.

Thanks again for the in-put. I just got a big hard plastic shipping box and I'll send the pistol to the tech shop. HAPPY HOLIDAYS and remember the REASON FOR THE SEASON :D

SEND IT TO TC AND ASK THEM TO FIX IT ! THEY STILL HAVE SOME PARTS .
I LIVE 1 HR FROM THEM AND DEAL IN TC STUFF ALL THE TIME AND HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED FOR ANY REPAIR WORK ! THEY ARE THE BEST TO DEAL WITH .
