Source for an inexpensive mould to cast buckshot?

Anyone know of a source for an inexpensive gang mould to cast buckshot?  Maybe something originally designated for another purpose like casting fishing splitshot or something.

I have used a Lee roundball mold for casting 30 cal round balls.  I get 12 in a 2 3/4 inch 12 gauge and they shoot nice.

It's too bad they don't make those in one of their 6 cavity moulds.  Then that would be a possibility.  I would like to find something in a #4 buck, about .24 or .25, but even their .311 would work.

there used to be an out fit called Littleton (Ithink) that made a shot maker. A friend in Az had one and it had a row of orifices that the lead dripped thru. The orifices could be changed to make different sized shot.I do not know if they are still in bussiness.  jh

There are rough aluminum gang molds out there, I've got a couple. They cast two different sizes of balls, roughly .25 and .50. The results are pretty crude, rather flattened and occasionally mis-aligned. Marked on the back is: "Sling Shot Pellet Mold / C. Palmer Mfg. Inc.  West Newton, PA.  15089". Mine are more than 10 years old, but I've seen them in catalogs recently, can't remember where.

I use the Lee .311 mould.

I can fit 12 of them in a 1 1/4oz load in a 2 3/4" shell.

With everything at the right temp I can run close to 500 cast balls an hour. That’s real close to 2 boxes of loadable shells (boxes of 25 shells).

I have a great load for these little buggers also. Yotie killing made easy.

I went ahead and ordered one of the Do-It brand sling shot pellet moulds from an outfit called Zeiners Bass Shop.  They had it on special on their website for $26.31.  That's lower than buying it from Do-It on their website.  

I have some of their other moulds and they are crude compared to bulled moulds, but should work for buckshot.  This one is supposed to produce (11) 25 and (9) 38 caliber round (?) balls, one set on the top and one on the bottom.  Never ordered from that outfit before.  See what happends.

There jig head molds aren’t too bad and there egg sinker moulds are good also. Between my dad and me we have probly 12-15 of their molds. There good but they aren’t bullet molds.
If you are needing any other small ticker items from them drop me a PM I live less than 20 miles from there store.
I could probly send it out cheaper than them also.
I would do this for anyone in this forum if they so desired.
I love to cast and help out other caster when I can.

I have one made by Palmer in West Newton PA :roll: . it cast different size shot and BB's I never used it. picked it up with a collection of Lyman moulds.
If anyone's interested in it I could take a picture of it. It looks to be made like a splitshot mould with the handles being part of the mould

Buy the cheap sinker mould and then spin the balls round.  Make, or have your local machinest make, a 4" dia. plate with a 1/2" lip on it.  Make a top plate ( 3 7/8") w/o a lip and with a centered 3/8 " spud.  Chuck the spud in the dril press and center the lipped plate below it.  put in the semi round shot in the lower plate, turn on the drill and lower the top plate.  It spins the shot plumb round and will also0 press the sprues out of round balls for muzzleloaders.

I'm still interested in hearing how the mould for slingshot pellet does, but this looks like a deal to me.
