Thanks Armorer77
« on: March 26, 2010, 10:35:30 AM »
The new arrival came today.  A GB mortar from Ed (Aka Armorer77).  That now makes three mortars from site vendors.  I only say this to point out if you are new to this forum and you are looking for something else to feed the addiction we all have, check out the sticky at the top of the main page and try the vendors that sponsor this site.  They are all great people.  Oh... and for the record the three I have purchased from are Irishman (Brooks-USA), Dominiq Carpenter and Armorer77.  All three of these gentlemen are top notch.  They help you at every stage and they deliver what they promise when they promise.  Okay...enough of the advertisement.  Smoke and flame pics hopefully tomorrow but here are some shots of what my wife has dubbed "Little Beaver".  We shall see if it sticks.

For the record...my wife said its cute.  That is a good thing I guess.

Brokenpole,
It is definitely a good thing; my wife sometimes uses other descriptive terms to label my ordnance, like junk, or the one that really bugs me: "Toys!"

BTW, nice mortar! :)
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

Perhaps your wife is being complinentary.

I found this definition of toy:

miniature: a copy that reproduces a person or thing in greatly reduced size

Douglas,
Believe me when I tell you, that all you'd have to do is hear the way she said the word "toys" one time, to come to the realization that she wasn't intending to compliment my treasured artillery models. :D

Boom J,
All I had to do was let my wife fire my 10 pounder Parrott one time and she was hooked. :o  Now, cannons rule! ;D
