Pro Hunter vs Endeavor - what's the diff?
« on: April 16, 2010, 07:13:58 PM »
I'm old school and familiar with the contender pistols, have a few barrels.
Looking to sell a 45-70 barrel and want to get into a TC rifle set-up, probably look for a frame & stock first. What is the difference between the Pro Hunter and Endeavor frame and / or complete rifle set up? I understand the difference in the muzzleloader barrels, anything else different. Kinda like the look of the Endeavor frame...
Pros / Cons?
thanks in advance!

Cosmetics is the big difference as the frames have the same internals. Newer frames have the sling hammer, the older do not. Older frames have the over travel set screw in the finger guard, newer ones do not.

My advice is to buy an Encore frame and Pro Hunter Stock and forend UNLESS you need the swing hammer. You will save a few $$ to spend on your barrel or scope.
