Rebarrel question
« on: March 21, 2010, 08:50:57 PM »
I have a very nice Savage model 11 in 22-250. I want to change it out to something else. I have been looking around at barrels and first wanted to do a 260. But that barrel is a little more than I wanted to spend. I am wanting something none of my hunting buddies have so I looked a little more. I found the 358 WIN Adams & Benett barrel for a good price. I researched the 358 and I like it. So I know I am going to need a barrel and I plan on buying another barrel nut just in case the smith messes up the on there. My question is would I need a new bolt face and would I have to modify the magazine in any way? Thanks

You don't need to do anything to the bolt face. You may need to modify the magazine feed lips, you'll just have to try it and see.

holahead, i want your .22-250 barrel if you'll part with it.
I have it on good authority that the telepromter is writing a stern letter.
