I suggest you do not clean your rifle barrel tonight, keep shooting it for a while, until accuracy begins to degrade.

"alrighty, put another 20 rounds down the barrel at 50 yards... grouping was better. I would typically get the first two touching and the third flying."

If you are a hunter sight in your barrel so those first 2 shots from a cold barrel are where you want them at the range you want, most game animals should be very dead after 2 perfect shots, and most likey well dead after 1 perfect shot. If you want many shots from a hot barrel to go into the same small group, there may be a problem.

I only have one bipod and got it on a whim, someone else will have to advise you on that....<><....:)

Some of your improvement sounds to me like you are getting used to the trigger and the way the rifle shoots..Could also be you are more aware of making sure to close the gun smartly each time to ensure a good lock up as well.

Bi-pods can be great..and from everything I have read on them they work best when attached behind the forearm screw and closer to the receiver.Take a look at the Varmint forearm that you can buy from H&R..you will see where the bi-pod attaches to it is further back..1 thing I have learned about any bi-pod or mono pod...you want forward pressure against the leg/s to ensure it doesn't bounce or move..

MSP and others are correct...try shooting it more before cleaning it..20 rounds shouldn't foul it much..and if it is being fouled a-lot..then addressing that is something you will need to do as well..

Keep up the good work..sounds like it is starting to improve for you..
