Thoughts on 44mag/spl Magsafe for Home Defense

What are your thoughts on using the Magsafe 44 mag or 44 special for home defense in my townhome?  Does anyone have any experience with these?

     I use 44 spl with 3 in barrel.  Is 6 shot revolver with 240 gr and I don't need anything else.
