Well, I don't own a PC9, but I do own a PC40 (and a 995) The feel and options for customization of the RUGER are AWSOME! I absolutely LOVE that gun-------UNTILL i shoot it! I am always disappointed by the accuracy. It is functional and fast but not that accurate.  I was spoiled by the accuracy of the 995. I get 2-3" @100 (4x scope) with the 995 - NOT with the ruger. The Hi-Point never fails to fire or eject, but the mag capacity is too low. Of course the Ruger is reliable also. Hi-point made such a great product for such a good price I suspect they are too scared to push it with Hi cap mags; afraid of too much attention from the Grabbers. (especially as they could easily be "fully"  :-Xconverted) The Ruger has Twenty RD mags available!
ALL considered,,, if I had to grab one or the other and go "Rambo" against the Aliens, I would pick the Ruger, no thought needed. "bad guys are bigger than 6"! But when its time to go to the range the Hi-Point is definitely more fun.
