Here is my load for my 10 inch BFR 45-70. Shoots great and kills just as good. Mild recoil, this load has killer several hogs and deer. Extremely accurate as well, you go work up to 31.0 gr, but it is really not needed, unless you get better accuracy.

45-70 (BFR)  405 gr. Cast (MBW)  SR 4759  27.0 gr  Federal LPM #155  2.550
