Modification and rebarreling of a Siamese Mauser??
« on: June 06, 2010, 04:39:41 PM »
I have a Siamese Mauser and want to have it cleaned up and rebarreled into an off beat chambering.  I was thinking of 348 Winchester Ackley Improved or 416/348 Winchester Ackley Improved.  Do you think this is doable?  I would even do a 450/348 Winchester Ackley Improved.  Who would you recomend to to the work?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

bigboar

do the thing in 350 rem mag. or use 350 mag case to whatever cal you want.  no changes to action, ejector, exctractor, and should feed ok.  I did a siamese long time ago in 45-70 but I turned the case rims to fit the bolt worked great.  the 350 fits as is.   whishing you luck, bill439
