I haven't gauged mine, but it is great as it came from the factory. I bought it new, so I know it wasn't modded before I got it.

I have a few with everything from a "factory" set trigger to one that a strong breeze will set off (My benchrest Encore), that said If it's going to be used for hunting...A 2 1/2lb to 3lb pull would be my choice. If it were going to be used by others the factory trigger would be perferred.

Just my opinion

The G2 trigger can be taken very low. I have an Encore, basically the same trigger down to 15oz. Its used only for bench shooting on my private range and while I feel this is safe, I would under no circumstance use it this way in the field. For general use and hunting keep it safe.
