New to me 336c / 77' model
« on: March 20, 2010, 06:39:35 AM »
I posted this on MO's but I thought I would share it here. Last weekend I traded my sks for a nice 336 in 30/30. I feel good about the trade and here are some pics.

[It looks better than any SKS I ever saw] - +4

What year is it ? (check the SN letter prefix or 1st 2 digits)

It looks like a late-60's specimen, IMO - just beggin' for a receiver peep sight !  ;)   ;D

Nice rifle you'll love it.  The Marlins are the kind of guns that become family treasures.

Thanks Swampman, this is my 5th Marlin. Ranger, the first number is 23 and I believe that makes it a 77 model. It will get peeps, no scoipe for this one.

Mine is also stamped 336. I was told by someone on marlin owners that it was a c and it just wasn't stamped that way. We got sisters.
