Are there any reasonably priced scopes for the Remington 700 R5 Milspec.

What is your price limit, and what do you intend to do with the rifle?

This scope has the same glass as the scope I just bought. This is a 3.5x10x50 Vortex Viper and I would not hesatate for a second on buying one for deer hunting. This scope also carries a life time warrenty. I have to say it is the best glass I have ever looked through and could not be happier with my scope. here is a link to it and give Doug at Camera Land a call seeing as you are a member here he will help you out with the price also.
Take care Dale

I kinda like the Weaver Classic V 4x12x40 or a Leupi VX-I or II 4x12.

I have the 20x on my Model 700, and the 10x on a Tikka T-3.
My Bud has the 10x on his R-5.
They all shoot great with them.

or does thsi "£special" rifle need a special scope?
Interesting to see that Remington are using rifling like the old Enfields

Nope you can put any ole junker on them. My bud started with a Burris, then a Simmons, then a Vortex.
None of them got tighter than 2 MOA. He is .5 MOA now.

3-9x FFP mil/mil Super Sniper. Yeah you will have to fork out an extra bucks, but you'll thank me later.
