I'd been trying to find a 30/30 for a while and came across a like new .308 Handi at a gunshow last month. After a little dickering I got it for $200.That week I sent the receiver, buttstock and forearm to Ilion for a 30/30 barrel. On the 23rd I called to confirm they got the package and to modify the order to add a scope base. They confirmed it had arrived on the 15th. It arrived here today to my surprise. I was expecting to wait till next fall. All was not perfect tho'. They didn't add the scope base. I called and the Rep. said it was noted on my order and must have been overlooked. I'll be getting it next week with no additional shipping charges. I guess I'll just have to try out the iron sights for the next week or so.
