I already have one and a guy has one he wants to sale me. He told me to make him an offer, but he is a friend and I don't want to cheap him out. He has no clue what the gun is worth and I have never checked. What is a fair price?

The rifle's worth $300.00 IMO.

What it's worth to the both of you depends upon how much you both value your friendship.

FWIW, over the years, I've had friends simply gift guns to me, and I to them; and others that I've overpaid for a gun or two, because I knew they were up against it - so, you see, YMMV.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking. Turns out my stepdad picked one up cheap this week and didn't tell me til just a few minutes ago. He got it off a guy who was in a bind. Paid $250. I bought it from him for reimbursement. I put it up for sale for $300 on the firearms classified to pay for the one I going to get from my buddy.
