Recoil is often a subjective thing. We want to get little kids to shoot and they will feel it more than us bigger kids. Per the FAQs, 357Mag/3.4 ft.lb., 44Mag/7.5, and 357Max/8.3 ,(30-30/8.6)
With a decent recoil pad they wont mind the 38Spl (in 357Mag or Max rifles) at all, and the others 'may' be OK, just build up to it carefully. Once gun shy 'cause it bit 'em' you may loose their interest.
Be especially cautious with the Buf Classic type curved steel buttplate models. They will bite with hunting loads.
