Ohio Controlled Hunts
« on: July 11, 2010, 04:14:00 AM »
In case someone doesn't know the Ohio DNR has online registration for the Controlled Deer and Waterfowl hunts.  The registration period runs through the end of July.  Over the last 15 years or so I have made a few of these hunts and some are really good.  It costs $3 per hunt that you apply.

I applied for 3 of them. I never get drawn though. :-[    I did get drawn for the Salt Fork muzzleloader hunt one year but it sounded like everyone else who applied got drawn too!
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

I'm done with it!!!  I got drawn for Plum Brook the first year and haven't been invited bak yet.  I know people who have been 3 times and one who has gone 4 since they opened it up back in "86 or "87.  They ain't getting another $ off of me 'til they start a point system or something (If they did, I'll be dead by then anyway).  quietly stepping down from soapbox...

They will never see another dime from me. Year after year I apply and year after year I never get drawn. The only time I scored a permit was for Salt Fork muzzleloader season and so did everyone else that applied. Another waste of $18 dollars that could have been spent on something else. Well never again. I wonder how much corruption is involved in this drawing?
