Shot my New 30 30 today Shazam Shazam

Plesant suprise. No tweaking. Just shooting. Polished the bore with JB, used the homade bore cleaner (Reds) and went to son's house to shoot. 50 yds only. Used Federal 150 gr SPFN to zero She shoots nickel sized groups. Tried some reloads. 150 gr Rem Core lokt PSP. She shot to the same POI.
Had some 3/8 in steel (iron) targets the Rems shot thru the iron targets, but the flat nose Federals just put large dimple in the target.
I am totally impressed with the accuracy and the consistency of the reloads.
Of course it will only get better as a few more rounds are sent down the tube.  Most every one on this forum had commented about the accuracy of the 30 30. I totally am a believer. Maybe I can get to the range next week to try out to 100 and 200 yds. I think she will do fine.

I got one of these shooters too, if you can get somebody to reload some 125 gr. nosler balistic tips with 30grain reloader #7 you'll really be supprized nickel size groops at 185 yards no probablem useing scope [ of corse] they seem too be a load of choice for these guns  and t/c contenders too. Contender 30-30

Thank you!  I'm trying to find a load for 125 bullets and I'll be sure to write that down!  What kind of velocity are you seeing out of that load?
