« on: August 02, 2009, 10:15:06 AM »
i need a good pair of rubber/waterproof style boots but my problem is i have 23-25" calves.  i am a heavy person and cant find this style boot that fits..  i end up wearing a brama work style boot and leave the top laces undone.. leaving me about 5-6 inches of boot,,,, i have more hunts ended because of wet feet,,,

i want to hunt some swampy areas and i can't because i get wet feet after the first few steps.. i want the 12-16" boots that water cant get in ...i found a pair called bogs... says they have a 18 inch calf and streatches for several more inches... but how far is several more..lol   any help would be great... i am saving up i know they will cost a fortune and will probly have to wait till next year but i need a pair...

my size is 13 wide

I'm not laughing at you I'm laughing with you,
                             Your just not laughing.......

Ever notice the deer we get is always smaller
                              than the deer we saw..??.lol

Contact Danner. IIRC they made boots for guys with large legs. You had to measure your lower legs at different areas and gave them the info.

I have the exact opposite problem...thin legs and calves...most boots are too bug and rub my legs.  Since my feet are 13's, they must figure I have large legs.
The older I get...The better I was.

Find a pair of big neopreen waders that fit around your calves, and cut them off at the knee, or wherever you want them.

You might try low cut 9" waterproof boots with waterproof socks and a good pair of gaiters.

Check out nite lite the coon hunting boots , Lacrosse makes some larger boots in Rubber and neo. Or go to a construction supply and get the slip over slush boots to put on over your reg. boot .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
