keeping paws on

i was wondering how to keep the paws on when skinning an animal. i was hoping to take more skunk next season and i really like how their paws are with the claws but i have no idea how to do it. i also want to take some coyote or fox so how do i keep the pads on?

You open up leg till foot and then you can skin open around foot pad and start loosening skin around each toe.  When you skin down to last digit on toes , you will be at the toenail.... you take a side cutters and cut toenail  away  from digit or toe bone.   This way you could make a taxidermy mount  or just tan hide and it will have the paws and toenails on hide.

not sure id worry about it on skunk, i used to do it on mink and fox when they was high, kinda made the furbuyer pay a little attention.it does take a few minutes longer even when yur good at it.
