Redfield Jr. scope base
« on: April 27, 2010, 04:08:41 PM »
I have a Redfield Jr. scope base circa mid 70s that I have had squirreled away for these many years. It is in perfectly new condition and now I have use for it. My concern is that since Redfield went out of buisness quite some time ago and now back in the trade under Leupold ownership, I have a question. Will the currently manufactured rings made by Redfield fit my old base?  The base is for a pre 81 BLR and are no longer available.
I would very much like to make use of this base. Your answers will be much appreciated.

Leupold doesn't own Redfield sight co. but only the name for Redfield optics. I think it's ATK.
RIP Mike. Died on July 14th, around 2am, with his family at his side, he went peacefully to be with god.

Redfield Mounts is still in business

I'd bet that the dovetail system is still the same.  There is an "ask Redfield" link on this site, I bet they could answer your question for sure.
