I have seen molds for maxi balls but, I can't find one for the Maxi Hunter. Do they make one? and if they do where do you buy one.

I don't think T/C makes them any more, every once in a while you'll see one on e-bay,,you can always put a "want to buy" add here;
http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/board,120.0.html
you can find the Lee R.E.A.L. and the lyman Plains, Minie and Improved Minie and Lyman made T/C Maxi, all at
www.trackofthewolf.com
but the Maxi Hunter is different ain't it?

This dude might have a maxi-hunter mold. He does have great prices on maxiballs in bulk.

Years ago, I owned2 different 54 Maxi Hunter molds and neither of them produced an accurate bullet. Both were good for 50 yard shots and thats about it. T/C told me that was typical. The Maxi Ball was always accurate at 100 yards, but I had terrible results on deer, loosing 3 deer in succession all shot within 25 yards. Perhaps this is the reason T/C started advertising cutter heads for ramrods, intended to produce expansion.
Lymnan makes a Great Plains Bullet mold. which ought to produce a good pure lead bullet.
