Getting Ready
« on: April 07, 2010, 11:08:30 AM »
;D :D ;) :) Yesterday during a horrible snow storm, I got my Fenwick Fenglass rods down from the loft, put reels on all of them put the newer rods in cases and stored them in the loft. Sorted though my fly vest..a new sinking tip  #6 line is needed...This summer it is back to my old style Fenwick rods...I have fished with them since 1972...other newer style rods have come some have gone, but none have the feel of these old rods...they have taken some big fish and some not so big from Florida to Alaska, from Maine to Tx...I am ready for the spring and summer trout fishing and maybe some bass and panfish fishing ifI get the chance....today the sun is shining, the snow stopped, the next days are to be in the 50's and maybe 60's.....trout fishing is about to begin and I am ready...hope you are too.

Beadhead marabou woolies in black or green did pretty good at boysen inlet on a slow sinking line. But alot of false strikes. Got 2 rainbows 13-14 inches, pan size I'd say. Guess what's for supper? ;D
