Howdy.

Searching for information on this caliber.  Does anyone know where to find info for reloading this, or a source of brass?

Being most of these are used in drilling and combo guns, I would start with 3 to 5 grains less than what is specified for it's rimless counterpart,which would be the 7mm mauser. Work up a load that regulates to the sights on that particular rifle. Good luck.

It is the 7x57JR that I am looking for.  I am unsure if it is the same name for 7x57R, or a totally different beast.  It is the J in the name that has me guessing.  Anyone know if it is the same cartridge, or a different one altogether?

Are you sure it's a seven millimeter and not an 8 millimeter?

I am going on a vendor's description of inscriptions on the barrel.  It is an old drilling.  I would like to figure out the caliber and source components beore I commit to buy.
