H&R Topper Model 88 receiver disassembly
« on: May 06, 2010, 09:18:01 PM »
I recently got my first shotgun back from my dad and I need some help in repairing it.  The transfer bar is broken and after a call to H&R they don't repair the old ones.  They did direct me to an outfit in MN that had the part but they also don't do the repair.  I've been repairing firearms for the military since '96 but I'm just wondering if there's anything I need to look out for when I start driving pins out of this thing.  Are there any tricks I need to know about putting it back together?  Are there any books on the repair of these things?

Anyway, thanks for any help you can give.

See the trigger hone info in the FAQs and Help sticky, any frame with a transfer bar is the same as a modern H&R, Perklo's download deals with the t-bar.
