As most of you know , thats not always a good thing for me .
Well this all started with a wet / rainy day at the reloading bench , I was going through some of my 45LC case's getting ready to load and came across a bunch that had split necks .
Now what to do with them ?
I happened to look up at my boxes of brass and saw a box of 45 Auto Rim
, now the A.R. will not work in my Taurus Tracker due to the extra thickness of the rim -
BUT - what if I take the colt case's and trim them down to A.R. lenght .
So I fired up the Forester case trimmer powered by a Batt drill to speed the process and trimmed 50 case's to .898" , drug out the 45 AR dies , well you can see were this is going .
Looked up some load data and desided on Bullseye with a starting load , next what bullet ? out to the casting bench I went and found the 230g RN that I use for 45 ACP and casted up 50 .
Now if it ever quits raining I'll run over to the range and test them out , being Bored is not always a bad thing , me thinks .
