Red Laminate Stock

Today I saw a used .270 Win Handi-Rifle that had a laminate stock with red color in it.  Looking at the H&R website, I don't see the laminate "Ultra" models available in .270 and I don't find any models with red laminate.  The .270 barrel may have been an extra that was ordered, but the gun wasn't being offered with multiple barrels. 

Was this red laminate stock offered at some time?  Is there anything unique to know about it before before buying the gun?

They were made at one time in checkered and also uncheckered, but no longer offered, I've got a 270 Ultracomp with that stock,  grab it while you can!  ;)
