Slaped in the face

Im Mechanic by trade for 30 yrs and I never felt as bad ever as I did today . I work at a local auto shop and one of my customers drives not one but two lemons , seems I see her at least once a week with a new problem , this week 3 times ,leaking injectors ,  TPS , and IAC problems , I was joking and told her she needed to buy a newer more reliable auto that didnt need to be worked on all the time ........ The SLAP IN THE FACE .......She tells me her husband is in the Service in some other country , and they tryed to get a new auto loan the lady at the bank told her there loan was Denied because her husbands job was unstable ...............   She said he is in for 6 yrs . And the bank lady said " He might not come back " so we cant give you a loan .........I was in shock I dint know what to say , I still feel like crap .

The program was originally introduced almost twenty years ago as a “thank you” to US military personnel serving in Germany for their efforts in maintaining peace in Europe.

I know this ain't cars, but my bro-in-law (when he was single) had a hard time renting apts, because he was military. Apparently, military cannot legally be penalized for breaking a lease in many circumstances. Makes landlords hate them.

Oh  I know about landlords , I would give them a copy of the Military Clause , which stated  a service member could break the lease if deployed or reassigned . most were decent some were not .

that really sucks.... maybe she could sell the car and use the money to buy something more reliable; depending one what exactly she is driving now.  one car that worked would beat the hell out of two that dont.
