New Uberti Iron Framed Henry
« on: November 15, 2003, 04:28:27 AM »
Just spent a little of my inheritance (after paying off the house) on a nice blued steel Henry.  It's a .44-40 (because I just had to keep it as a .44 for the sake of history!)  I know the rimfire round and the .44-40 aren't that similar, but they aren't that dissimilar either.

Looking for any load advice.  BP, Pyro, 777 or smokeless.  Any advice on where I might get deals on dies, brass and the heavy stuff too.

Thanks

Dan C

Dan

I answered your other post on loading this.  As far as deals, don't overlook e-bay.

Hey congrats on the purchase, I have a brass Henry that I picked up two years ago off of Vegas winnings.  I don't reload, so I am not much of a help, but I have shot several of the various companies providing Cowboy ammo.  I really like the Winchester cowboy loads.  They are the cheapest around here and readily available at Galyans.   Enjoy the rifle.
