It's funny that you should post this now.  I just talked to a guy at the range this morning shooting a .308.  He loves his.

I have a .223 and really like it too.  My initial testing sort of showed that it shot about everything well.  I'm currently using my short range AR load (varget, 55 Vmax) and it shoots right at .5" at 100 yds.  I figure with some testing I could probably improve on it a bit.  I've done a couple of long range matches as well, mine will stabilize 77 MK's but not 80's.

I suppose you have to ask yourself why you want the 10 PC.  It's more expensive that the savage varmit rifles and the only advantage (IMO) is the 20" barrel.  But that's what I wanted so I got it.  As far as used, they've only been out on the market for a little over a year (I got mine last April) so they might be tough to find.  I can't believe anyone would buy one and not like it.

My son has the Model 10 FLP (left hand, heavy barrel, blind magazine).  He loves it.  It's easily capable of MOA accuracy, right out of the box.  The only thing he's done is add a Harris bipod, and Allen butt-cuff for ammo, and scoped it.  His seems to prefer 168 grain Matchkings, but we didn't do much load development before he moved out of state.

Very nice rifle.  I would suspect that the precision carbine is similarly nice.

I got the M10FP LE1 (ultimate varmint stock) and i love the rifle. It is my pride and joy.
I wouldn't doubt the PC at all, specially with the new Accu-Stock

I have a predator 223.  Same concept but in 223.  It's got a little chart I made and taped to the side of that reminds me what adjustments to make for shooting out to 700 yards with my handloads.  I love that rifle.  It's a perfect blend of heavy enough barrel with light enough weight, while maintaining great accuracy.  Mine has never shot a 1/2" group, but it's always been less than 3/4" with good ammo.  I bought mine "used" (probably less than 100 rounds) on gunbroker for $425.  :)
