Finally got out to shoot my .243
« on: May 03, 2010, 06:14:50 PM »
Saturday afternoon I got to the range to see how my .243 shoots, well it's a keeper.
I bought a .223 survivor to use as a coyote gun, it shot okay but not great so I put it in my closet.  I was at one of my favorite shops one day and there sitting in the corner was a beat up .243 with a cut down stock and a beat up rail. I picked it up for $100. I got it home swaped the stock, rail and scope(Bushnell 4200 4x16x40) off the 223.
Here is the rifle  8)

And here is the final group the flyer was from tuning the scope. I am pretty happy with this  ;D
I was shooting Federal 80gr soft point Power Shok

Now I need to pick up another stock and rail for the 223 and start working on getting that one to shoot as well as this one.
