I've spent the last month or so and in particular 2 weeks leave from work doing a bit of Leathercraft, thought I'd show them off folks. Plenty of pics.
I gave the Armguard with the fish inlay to a mate. Cant claim credit for tooling the fish, it's from a pre stamped Tandy belt buckle kit. They are a great cheat if you want something just a little different. I messed up the wicker pattern on this a couple of years ago as I did not know how to use the tool properly but I salvaged it into a nice gift for my mate. I've since worked out how to use the tool, notice I said use, not properly - tough to keep straight wicker tooling!
The Green Quiver set was a worn out Quiver I made in the 90's I re-covered and re-lined and re-laced with Kangaroo hide for a spruce up. I have found this style of Quiver excellent when hunting and it's packed into my kit waiting. Must make a knife sheath for the set aswell
The tooled Backquiver is a 2 or 3 year old project I re-tooled and then re-dyed as at the time I made it I did not have the correct tools. Really happy with the Armguard on the right as it matches the quiver very well. I am looking for a deserving mate to give the Armguard on the left too
I still have not had enough. I've bought some more tooling leather and plan on making a tooled hip quiver set or a modification of the green Roo hide quiver that is long enough to completely conceal the arrows to eliminate the fletch cover I use.
