Taking down a Kahr for cleaning is pretty straight forward. Diagrams and instructions can be found at Kahr's website.

Let's begin, strip and clean the upper half

www.kahrshop.com... it will help you. It will make any reference to numbered parts in the following Steps easier to understand The referenced pictures found on Kahr's website is recommended as you do any actual work, in case you have any problems
Step 1 : Field strip your Kahr according to the manual. Keep the slide stop/release lever handy for the next operation. Note, you can download a manual from Kahr for free.
Step 1 A : Find a flathead screwdriver with a head the same size or a bit smaller then the striker channel. Use the screw driver to snag the Striker Spring (#22) at the end of it,
at the back of the slide.
Step 1 B ; Pull the Striker Spring (#22) towards the muzzle end of the gun. The Striker Spring Guide (#23) should also pull down too. While holding those two ( 2 ) parts back, insert the pin portion of the slide stop/release lever into the striker channel , between the Slide Back cover plate (#4) and the round head of the Striker Spring Guide The tension of the Striker Spring will keep the slide stop/release lever in place for the next step.
Note..The Striker Spring Guide (#23) head must be held back before the Slide Back cover plate (#4) can be removed
Step 2 : Place the slide on its end with the rear of the slide facing up. See the cutout on the right side ? The low section inside that half circle is the rear of the Back Extractor Pin (#27).
You need to find something small & rigid enough to push on only this section, a small nail or small screwdriver should work. I use a very small allen-wrench for this task.
Warning.. Keep you thumb over the rear of the slide as you push the rear cover plate forward.
The parts are under spring pressure behind the rear cover plate and will go flying if not held back, hitting you in the face, or you can lose them..
Step 3 : Insert the tool ( small screwdriver, allen wrench or whatever ) inside the half circle and press down. You need to push the Back Extractor Pin (#27) down about a 1/16 of an inch or less to clear the Slide Back Cover Plate (#4). While pushing in the Back Extractor Pin try to push the Slide Back Cover Plate forward.
Notice .. You may end up having to use a small flathead screwdriver to get the Slide Back Cover Plate (#4) started forward.. they can be a tight fit... push the Slide Back Cover Plate completely out while keeping your thumb over the rear of the slide's end. Let the black Striker Spring Guide (#23) and the Striker Spring (#22) up very slowly.
Step 4 : Extract the black Striker Spring Guide” (#23) and the Striker Spring (#22) sticking out from the slide and set them aside, in a safe spot ( dont lose them )
Step 4 A ; Turn the slide so the bottom is facing up and push down the Striker Block (#7)
Now you can slide the Striker (#20) all the way out to the rear.
Notice ... Remember that the Striker Block (#7) needs to be pushed in just a small bit to allow the Striker (#20) to pass by when reinstalling this part. The Striker is the main part that holds the Striker Block (#7) in place.
Step 4 B: Remove the Striker Spacer (#21) from the Striker (#20) by pushing it out of the slide.
Note ... When reinserting the Striker Spacer (#21) it does not matter which end goes in first, both sides are the same.
Step 5 : Turn the slide over so that the Extractor (#24) side is facing up. To remove the Extractor”(#24) just push it down at the front and remove it .
Step 5 A : Remove the three ( 3 ) parts inside the extractor channel out. Tap the muzzle end of the slide on a padded surface while working the Striker Block (#7) in and out.
Note... You might find that you need to insert a small allen wrench or nail in the extractor channel to help those three ( 3 ) parts come out. The Striker Block (#7) does hold a little bit of pressure on these parts. Be sure to write down or remember the order of these parts and how they fit together.
Very Important ... The Back Extractor Pin (#27) does not matter which end goes back in first during the re installation,that goes for the Extractor Spring (#26) too, but the Front Extractor Pin (#25) does need to go back in a certain way. Also it needs to be rotated so it rests on the rear of the Extractor (#24) a certain way.
The concave ( dished in ) end of the Front Extractor Pin needs to be facing in when resting on the rear of the Extractor once installed.
Note.. If you don't install this part correctly the Extractor (#24) will not freely work when tested.
If it does not move freely, remove it and reinstall it the other way around.
Step 6: Once all three (3) parts have been removed from the Extractor channel the Striker Block (#7) can now be removed by lightly working it out of the slide.
Step 6 A : Pull out the Striker Safety Spring (#8) from the Striker Block (#7) if has not already separated from the Striker Safety Spring.
Note.. The Striker Safety Spring (#8) has no specific way it re installs in the Striker Block
The Upper is now completely disassembled. You can clean, inspect , replace and lubricate the parts as needed.
To reassemble, you must reverse the steps above. Pay particular attention to the Notes in each step of dis assembly.
Very Important Note.
When you install the Front Extractor Pin ( #25 ) it is alot easier to install the Front Extractor Pin (#25) through the ejection port side BEFORE installing the “Extractor” (#24).
This makes it easier to get the Front Extractor Pin (#25) rotated onto the Extractor (#24) correctly. You will find that a piece of tape over the Extractor helps to keep everything in place while you install the rest of those parts. After that, drop in the Extractor Spring (#26) and the Back Extractor Pin (#27) from the rear, in that specific order.
The Striker Block (#7) must go in before any of the parts are placed into the Extractor Channel. The Striker Block may have to be slightly worked in and out to so the Extractor Spring (#26) can slip through. You have to hold the Striker Block (#7) in place while inserting the extractor parts.
Do a function/safety test after everything is assembled before firing the handgun.
