No. We have bayou-like conditions in the lower State where fast boat drug runners from off shore dodge the ever vigilant US Coast Guard. But the CG is much better and smarter today than in Florida's drug inhibited past. There are History Channel documentaries of the crime and corruption that existed here in the 60's and early 70's. So much money passed through the Florida banks that the Nation's "money laundering" codes were rewritten to stem that tide. Murder for hire, drug hits, death by overdose, bales of weed floating ashore, cocaine swallowed condoms, even Civil War "Monitor/Merimack" style low-profile submarines are part of the history. There is far too much money to foreign countries from illegal drugs to Florida that the few, if any, remaining South Florida stills are probably not feasible, except for home brew. Now I could be wrong. I am not savey about "White Lightning". That goes double for the coke, weed, and other illegal substances.
