New Ruger Owner
« on: May 16, 2010, 08:14:22 AM »
My dad got me a Super Blackhawk Beasley Hunter .44 mag. for graduation. We reload for .44 mag. rifle already and was looking for a light practice load for my new pistol.
Thanks

240 to 250 grain cast over about 8 grains of Unique.

I started using the 44 special brass for cast bullets, with the almost the same powder load i get more power from the 44 special loads than using the 44 mag cases.  I save the 44 mag cases for the magnum loads.  I do the samething with the 38 special and the 357 mag too.  Why waste the larger brass on a light load.

My special brass is my practice loads.
